Jenny is your average gunslinging housewife, a little bit Betty Crocker, a little bit Davy Crockett. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley in southern California studying art and working for many years as a graphic designer. She has always had a love of guns from shooting her dad's BB gun in their backyard to shooting rifles and pistols in the deserts of Reno, NV as she does now. Jenny is passionate about her 2nd Amendment rights. She is a NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun instructor who also runs an all-women shooting group in the greater Northern Nevada area. Even before she became an instructor, Jenny always had practical advice for shooting and would write about the functionality of guns, ballistics, laws, and anything pertaining to guns or her family in her blog. One day she realized she had worked for so many companies that did their own publications, she wondered why she wasn't doing it herself. Not too long later, The Gunslinging Housewife, which once served as her portfolio site, was converted to a web publication for women, by a woman.

Jesse is a L.E.A.S. Certified gunsmith and NRA Certified Rifle and Shotgun instructor. His extensive knowledge of guns and how they function come into play to make sure all information on The Gunslinging Housewife is accurate. Jesse has noted that several websites have either dated or inaccurate information a lot of times, giving people a false sense of how certain guns function. One of the things he has learned in his years as a gunsmith as well as his years in gun sales, people see reviews of guns but do not realize they are done from bench rests, so they assume buying a certain gun will make them an instantly accurate shooter. Jesse stresses all information provided on The Gunslinging Housewife is done by testing a variety of shooting positions to give the most realistic idea of how guns function.
