Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

One of the down falls to apartment living is that you don't always have a patio or access to a BBQ. But one of my favorite parts of summer is BBQing. Fortunately, there are ways to compromise the BBQ taste with an oven.

Here's what you'll need:
Rack of pork ribs
3/4 cup BBQ sauce
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons worchestire sauce
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
Dash of dried chopped onions
Dash of garlic powder
Dash of onion powder
Dash of salt
1 bottle or can of beer, apple cider, or apple juice

Preheat oven to 350º

1. Place ribs bone side down on a roasting rack inside of a roasting pan. Pour your beer, cider, or apple juice on top of the ribs, covering them completely. Pour the remaining beer, cider, or apple juice inside the roasting pan.

2. Sprinkle with a little bit of garlic powder, onion powder, and salt on ribs.

3. Cover with foil or a larger baking sheet leaving a slight opening on sides so beer inside roaster can steam cook the under side of the ribs. Place in oven for one hour.

4. While ribs bake, mix BBQ sauce, worchestire sauce, red wine vinegar, water, and chopped onions in a bowl. Separate the sauce mix into two bowls. One bowl will be used for basting, the other will be used for BBQ sauce to dip ribs in.

5. When ribs are done baking, remove and coat with some of the BBQ sauce. Bake for 30 minutes longer uncovered. Remove occasionally to flip and coat with more sauce so by the time they are done baking, they will be completely coated with BBQ sauce.

Serve with the remaining BBQ sauce mix if additional sauce is desired and enjoy!
