Sausage Stuffing

Not too long ago, I posted a recipe for game hens that required a stuffing. Well, this is the stuffing that was used with that recipe. This stuffing can be used with any poultry recipe though and I have a feeling it would be fun at Thanksgiving. Anyway, sausage adds a nice flavor to the stuffing and compliments the poultry. Enjoy!

1 lb pork sausage
6 slices of bread dried out and diced to 1/2" cube crumbs
1 cup chicken broth
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp onion powder

1. Brown sausage in a frying pan, breaking it up.
2. Add remaining ingredients to sausage and mix well.
3. Serve on side or stuff inside of poultry.
